What to Expect
The National Three Peaks challenge is a world renowned adventure found within the UK that sees participants take on the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, usually within 24 hours.
We cover a total distance of 26 miles and 3000m in ascent, witnessing majestic landscapes, breath-taking views and beautiful scenery every step of the way.

Afternoon: Arrive Fort William, check in, kit check
Evening: Team briefing with your challenge leader
Overnight: Rest ahead of an early start

Early morning: Transfer to Glen Nevis car park
Morning: Ascend and descend Ben Nevis (allow approx. 5–6 hours)
Midday: Return to minibus, packed lunch on the road
Afternoon–evening: Drive south to the Lake District (approx. 6–7 hours)

Evening/night: Arrive Wasdale Head, kit up with head torches
Night: Ascend and descend Scafell Pike (approx. 4–5 hours)
Late night: Return to minibus, rest/sleep during drive to Wales

Early morning: Arrive Pen-y-Pass
Morning: Ascend and descend Snowdon (approx. 4–5 hours)
Midday: Finish! Group photo at the finish point
Afternoon: Transfer home
Total: roughly 13–14 hours of walking, 9–11 hours of driving, spread across ~24 hours. Real-world finishes commonly land between 22–28 hours depending on weather, fitness and traffic — the safety of the team always takes priority over hitting the clock exactly.

Footwear: Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots with good ankle support or trail runnign shoes Blister kit.
Clothing: Moisture-wicking base layers, insulating mid-layers (fleece/wool), and waterproof/windproof outer layers (jacket and trousers). Spare good quality socks. Running vest also recommended.
Safety/Navigation: Headtorch (with spare batteries) and any relevant medication to yourself (we will provide first aid kit and navigation / maps) Mosquito repellent
Capacity: A comfortable daypack (approx. 20–30 litres) to carry water, snacks, and extra layers.
Nutrition: High-energy snacks and sufficient water/hydration system.
